We are a well-established Property Management company seeking a full-time floating Maintenance Technician for multiple Residential and Commercial properties.
About the Position:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of property maintenance including curb appeal, service requests, apartment turnovers, preventative maintenance, and relations with vendors and team members. This position does not come with a comped apartment unit.
Maintenance Tech Responsibilities:
- General handyman/maintenance experience: basic plumbing, basic electric, light carpentry and yard maintenance.
- Complete occupied apartment work orders and provide outstanding customer service.
- Complete vacant apartment turnover work orders and ready apartments for new move-in dates.
- Proficient in Paint: Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Skilled in appliance repair and willing to undertake other assigned tasks.
- Strong communication, organizational skills and problem solving.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning new skills.
- Work under the discretion of Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Maintenance Tech Requirements:
- 2 + years’ experience in maintenance or related industry,
- Previous Multifamily property experience is highly preferred,
- Knowledge and Skills in Painting, Plumbing, Electrical, Yard, and General Maintenance,
- Reliable transportation and valid California Driver’s license required for property visits,
- Availability for on-call emergencies during evenings, weekends, and holidays,
- Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities,
- Ability to interact effectively with management, residents, and vendors,
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Compensation:
$26.00 per hour + monthly gas stipend.
